Our Mission

The mission of a CMS Band member is to master an instrument and succeed in helping everyone to achieve their maximum potential. By practicing and learning our instruments properly, we will perform at a Superior level.  We will achieve our mission by believing that we can accomplish the impossible even when it becomes difficult. As members of the CMS Band, we will build a solid foundation for future Eagles to follow in our footsteps for the years to come. ONE BAND, ONE SOUND! 

Meet the Staff

Mr. Christian Rodriguez is the Director of Bands at Canutillo Middle School in Canutillo, TX. His duties include directing the CMS Honor Band, CMS Symphonic Band, CMS Beginning Bands, CMS Percussion Ensemble, CMS Fine Arts Department Chair, and assisting Canutillo High School Marching Band. He holds a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of Florida. In December 2019, he was named as one of "50 Directors Who Make a Difference" by the School, Band, and Orchestra Magazine to represent the state of Texas. He is married to a beautiful wife and father to two beautiful children.
